Back in May 2016 myself , my yoga teacher and 2 other yogi's joined forces along with our amazing community and raised enough money to install a toilet and fresh water bore for a less fortunate family in a village just outside of Siem Riep. We even got down and dirty installing the tanks and digging the bore for the pump in the extreme Cambodian heat but to see the smiles on this families faces was worth the hard work and sweat. We then ventured on to see some finished projects that Darryl (the brains behind this project) has accomplished so far in this one village, along with the children benefiting from these projects.
We also visited, as Darryl likes to call it "the home of opportunity" it's a locally owned and operated home for less fortunate children, we had a great time with the kids and with the left over money from our fundraising made the decision to put it towards doing some much needed maintenance on their living quarters, kitchen and water pump areas. The children and the people who run the home were so grateful and filled our hearts with joy with their big smiles of gratitude.
Finally some of the Cambodia lifestyle from Siem Riep Enjoy Shelly x
